PRESS: Govt may limit salaries of state companies’ top managers

MOSCOW, Jun 8 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is considering limiting salaries of state companies and corporations’ top managers by linking them to the salary of the prime minister, Kommersant business daily reported citing sources on Monday.

Overall annual income of a top manager can be limited by a tripled annual salary of the prime minister, or no more than 30 million rubles.

Exclusions can be set only by a ruling of President Vladimir Putin.

The government is also considering linking salaries of state companies and corporations’ top managers to key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.

For commercial companies and companies, where the state is not a single shareholder, the KPIs will include dynamics of revenue, net profit and market capitalization.
